Captured - The Day to Day
I am so glad you are here! I am a wedding, portrait and fashion photographer located in Texas but am available for travel worldwide.
Over the past few months, I have been delving deeper into myself, looking at my images and the motivation behind them. When I think about what I hope my images portray, three words came to mind - beauty, adventure, romance.
Life is full of beauty. From a bride on her wedding day to a newborn baby...there is beauty everywhere we look.
We all desire to take part in a great adventure in life. Each of us has a special journey to make as we travel from day to day.
From the first time we meet the one we love through a 50th anniversary and beyond, the romance that exists between a couple is as unique as a fingerprint.
Join me as I capture these emotions, these moments in the lives of others and myself. Enjoy!

West Texas Weather
I traveled to Lubbock this past week for an engagement session. Before I left, I checked the weather reports because West Texas weather this time of year is, well...unpredictable. The report said mostly sunny with a 20% chance of storms. Sounded good to me. So, I made the drive. When I arrived, it became apparent that they were WAY off. By the time my session was supposed to start, there were major clouds, and it was starting to sprinkle. I met Kaci and Chris, and asked them if they were up for some crazy weather. Not only were they ok, they were excited...I was pumped!!!! So, we got to work. We started with some umbrella shots so they could stay dry. It was quite a challenge to direct them, hold an umbrella and shoot, but it was soooo much fun! I just love a challenge. After some running through a field, we moved locations...at the next stop, it was starting to rain a bit harder. We decided to move to a parking garage to get out of the weather a bit. By the time we got to the parking garage, it was pouring rain and starting to hail. We worked in the parking garage for a little while, but decided it would be best to get to an indoor location. They decided that they would run home and change, and we would meet up a little later. I left the parking garage and instantly realized that my little car would not last long in the streets that were flooding very quickly. I decided to stay on a major road, so I got on I-27. About that time, the flood gates were released. I could not see more than a couple of yards in front of me. It was pouring rain and my car was being pelted with golf ball sized hail! So, I slowly tried to trudge on. People were pulled over and stopped everywhere, and so many people were stopping under overpasses to get out of the storm that traffic was jammed leaving most of us stuck in the weather. There was so much hail covering the road that you couldn't see the pavement. I was sliding everywhere. I decided to head to my nearest relative's house. When I arrived, I watched the weather report. In some areas, there were 4 - 7 inches of hail, so they brought out the snow plows to clear the roads! And, there were funnels and tornadoes everywhere. It was crazy! So, needless to say that the rest of the shoot was postponed until the next day. But, we were able to get some fun shots before the major weather hit. Below is a series that I just loved. More to come very soon!

P.S. The umbrella really did fly that far...I did not move it in photoshop!
