Taking the Plunge...
into underwater photography that is. And I must say...I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! A few months ago, Gia of Gia Wood Photography contacted me about shooting her wedding and trash the dress. We met and when she told me she was purchasing underwater equipment, I was SO excited! So, we talked for a few months about the details. She tried out all the equipment and sent me some of the results...they were beautiful. So, after her wedding, I suited up in scuba gear for the first time and sat at the bottom of a pool with a camera. I was a bit nervous at first having never been scuba diving before. But, before long, it was second nature. I couldn't get enough of it. We weren't able to photograph everything she wanted due to scheduling conflicts, so we scheduled a second day of shooting...YAY!!! This past Sunday I arrived for more shooting. The pool was outdoors and it has been cold and rainy in Dallas, but I knew the pool would be heated, so I wasn't worried. Much to everyone's surprise, the heating element in the pool was broken!!!!!!! Gia was kind enough to get a wet suit for me, but everyone else had to model in the super cold water. They were troopers!
I loved the whole experience so much that I am now offering underwater photography to my list of services. So, if you want to dive in with me, give me a call!

These are beautiful Shan. I love it.
Amazing Shan!!!
Totally awesome! I have been dying to shot underwater! I would love to get underwater housing!
This is something I've become very interested in since Anthro did a catalogue of underwater photography!. Your images are so beautiful.
So, since you are now offering it does that mean you bought your own gear too! If so, I want to talk to you about all of that :) I want to know what you have to house your camera and all that good stuff. I didn't even think about having scuba gear. That is high tech stuff right there. I can see your face smiling so big with excitement about all of this. Yay Shan!
B-EAUTIFUL! I love this SOO much!! And if you need a model to try out your equipment... HA!
Thanks everyone!
Cristy, I am making the investment into all the pieces slowly. As of now, I am renting it from a friend until I can get all the pieces put together. Email or call me, and I will give you the low down!
